I'm afraid I haven't been able to either post or visit recently as an extraordinarily powerful electric storm exploded my router!! Hence have been off-line for a few days and now have parents coming up for a long weekend so don't know if I'll find the time. Bare with me, I will come and visit yours, I promise!Carah Bodenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11429666157453439321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-64163257251021151442009-06-17T17:27:21.778+01:002009-06-17T17:27:21.778+01:00A belated Happy Birthday to you - hope you had a l...A belated Happy Birthday to you - hope you had a lovely day!

Your post brought back so many happy memories of doing similar things with my two daughters - but I brought First-Born back from her first year at Nottingham Uni yesterday and Last-Born is 16 today (and we've got a garden full of teenagers right now to prove it!).

I adore them as they are now and the wonderful young people they have become, but some days I SO miss the little children that they were!Nutty Gnomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06146296943319504785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-14725494872519183562009-06-15T14:56:21.802+01:002009-06-15T14:56:21.802+01:00You sound very happy and content - good stuff! I too cherish these moments of floating.
Tigger walks Muffin our grandchild to school every Thursday morning, and it warms my heart to see them set off hand in hand. They sing, hop over cracks in the pavement, and play I spy etc, and is a very special ritual for them both.
I wish you a very Happy Belated Birthday.TIGGYWINKLEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10797704211597578471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-25254803513070749972009-06-14T01:44:41.740+01:002009-06-14T01:44:41.740+01:00Well, a belated Happy Birthday from over here.
Wha...Well, a belated Happy Birthday from over here.
What a lovely post this is. I remember very well the great pleasure I took in walking my now-twenty-two year old to school every day. In those days we lived on the shores of Lake Ontario, and our walk was all blue sky, blue water and the wildflower of the day (except of course in winter, when it was ice, snow, freezing winds and a nice slide on the lake on the way home). We also used to make up silly songs, usually to the tune of "Skip to my Lou" and I'd go home with hands full of flowers to a day much like yours.
So thank you - I needed this today, on the day that my son and his family flew to that same Lake Ontario city - they'll be gone for five years and 5000 km is a long way.Pondsidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02407539138546412482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-55449782384706195962009-06-13T11:06:22.825+01:002009-06-13T11:06:22.825+01:00Very pleased to hear you're feeling at one wit...Very pleased to hear you're feeling at one with life...that is great - and SOOOOOOOOO sorry I didn't manage to get a parcel to you for your birthday last week - RUBBISH FRIEND. Always nice too, to have something young and handsome to admire, along with the view.Maggie Christiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16047691937064748860noreply@blogger.com
