How funny that you were at Reaseheath too - and living in Stockport at the time which is, of course, pretty close to where I am now. Glad you had a great time - the garden design studio is right next to our classroom - and I'm having a wonderful time too. Great people.

Elizabeth - go on, have a go!

Posie - lovely to see you here and glad it was helpful :-).Carah Bodenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11429666157453439321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-82417167072608137162011-02-08T16:31:45.007+00:002011-02-08T16:31:45.007+00:00We are planting lots of fruit bushes, so that was ...We are planting lots of fruit bushes, so that was really helpful.Posiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12844732200803572416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-72190755815069326432011-02-07T20:48:14.765+00:002011-02-07T20:48:14.765+00:00I might have a go. I have some newish blackcurrants which I got from Welsh Fruit Stocks and which are great because they are grown in quite tough conditions like mine! A cutting or two might be an excellent scheme!Elizabeth Musgravehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09473705107636868753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-72284421546202734942011-02-05T15:27:20.843+00:002011-02-05T15:27:20.843+00:00Alan does the pruning here - consequently I'm ...Alan does the pruning here - consequently I'm an ignoramus in this department. However because I can grow parsley like small trees I wear the trousers in this house! A small consolation.

Glad you are enjoying Reaseheath - I did a year's garden design course there some time ago and had the most fantastic time - learned such a lot and generally liked being there. I had an hour's drive from Stockport but it was well worth it.

Hope you tell us more.mountainearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15977393968796316843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-52430263559793846692011-02-04T17:55:56.204+00:002011-02-04T17:55:56.204+00:00Glad I have been of help in your times of trouble ...Glad I have been of help in your times of trouble :-).Carah Bodenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11429666157453439321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1197429752310795554.post-69732043989421436082011-02-04T16:15:56.031+00:002011-02-04T16:15:56.031+00:00That was so interesting.

I have to prune the boxwood we planted last year, and what you've described is very much like what TGD tells me I have to do.Pondsidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02407539138546412482noreply@blogger.com
